Book review of R. Winkler's Philosophy of finitude, Heidegger, Levinas, and Nietzsche
Seth Daves
pp. 415-418
Rafael Winkler’s Philosophy of Finitude: Heidegger, Levinas, and Nietzsche is a book that investigates the unique or that which is unclassifiable or unidentifiable (Winkler, xv). As a whole, the book claims to look into the different ways uniqueness can manifest, whether or not uniqueness is a possible experience, and how best to think and talk about the unique. As the title indicates, Winkler approaches these questions through the thought of Heidegger, Levinas, and Nietzsche.
