Being syncretic — the answer to increasing complexity

Gerald Bast

pp. 7-7

Yes, the world is becoming increasingly complex. This is not new. Already decades ago, we were told that the world is like a cybernetic system; to change a single element effects all its other parts. Remember: The stroke of a butterfly's wing in Japan may effect the situation on the other side of the globe. The increasing complexity of our world therefore requires that we meet all the great challenges resulting from it with just as much complexity.
