The problem of the meaning of words based upon observation of aphasic patients
Kurt Goldstein
pp. 345-359
The problem of the meaning of words is one of the most discussed and most important problems of the psychology of language. It seems to be a very simple matter when we name an object or when we say "that is a table, that is green," etc. There seems to be an external connection between a sound and an object, but this is not frequently true. The name can also represent something quite different.
